On Wednesday, a small number of Caretua staff took part in the Ronald McDonald House #Cooking4Families.
The Ronald McDonald House provides long term accommodation and support to the families of children who are seriously ill in Crumlin Children’s Hospital. While they are there, organising breakfast, lunch and dinner is often the last thing on their minds and so the Ronald McDonald House have opened their doors (and their kitchens) to anyone who wants to volunteer their time and cooking skills to the families.
Paul, Julie, Aoife, Barry, Monica and Jason prepared a lunch of vegetable soup and chicken fajitas. It’s safe to say that it was a pleasure for all to be involved and Caretua will most definitely be preparing some more meals in the future. We would encourage anyone to prepare a meal for the families staying here.
