DIY SOS Ireland : The Big Build – The Parsons Family !

DIY SOS Ireland : The Big Build – Series Two returned to our screens for another episode this Easter Sunday. This week it took us to Longwood, County Meath, to the Parsons Family, who’s story touched the hearts of the nation. The Parson Family consists of Dad – Glen, Mam – Jen, and their two boys, Ryan aged 9 and Josh aged 7.

The Parsons Families house needed to be adapted to fit the needs of their son Josh, who has a rare condition known as Smith-Magennis Syndrome. Their son Ryan, who is autistic & has sensory requirements, and their mother Jen who has Cloves Syndrome which will slowly effect her mobility.

Having previously worked with the DIY SOS Ireland : The Big Build team on past projects, when we heard of the Parsons family story, we knew we wanted to help in whatever way we could. This time around it was our Vienna Electric Wall Mounted Dressing Table which was the needed support for the Parsons Family.

Multiple companies came together to build the family a fantastic sensory room where their family can come together and relax in. Our Vienna Electric Wall Mounted Dressing Table was installed here & shown as a featured product that will enhance their daily life caring for their son Josh.

It has been a pleasure working with the DIY SOS Ireland team, the RTE team & all of the companies and individuals who volunteered for this series. We hope to work with them again in the future.
